My fire career began as a paid on call firefighter back in 2009 with Lac La Biche County Fire Rescue (LLBCFR), Station 1. I have served as a Firefighter, Lieutenant then Captain Training Officer before accepting the position of Deputy Fire Chief of Operations and Training for the regional service. Prior to my role as DC, I spent 18 years in education as a teacher and principal and have extensive experience in adolescent and adult education.
I am a proud father of three daughters and a husband to an extremely tolerant and loving wife. When not working I enjoy spending time outdoors tackling new challenges/adventures. Having spent time living in various remote areas of Canada I have earned an appreciation and respect for the outdoors and the challenges that they present.
I graduated from Trent University with a Bachelor of Science in Physics and also have a Bachelor of Education from Lakehead University.

NFPA 1001 Firefighter Level 2
